The career of Gloria Kondrup spans art, design, and education. As Professor Emerita at ArtCenter College of Design, Gloria Kondrup was an educator for over three decades, as an instructor for branding, packaging, and typography design studios. As the Director of Archetype Press, ArtCenter’s vibrant letterpress studio, she redefined the value of typography and analog technology in the digital landscape. Gloria was the Founding and Executive Director, of the Hoffmitz Milken Center for Typography [HMCT], that furthers the advancement and study of typography and language. Her limited-edition typographic broadsides and books are in the collections of AIGA, The Getty, and The Sackner Archive of Concrete and Visual Poetry. She has a BA in fine art and an MFA in design. Gloria maintains a creative letterpress, design, and fine art practice in her studio @vero_press.
